Late ASP Thomas Olubade Meseko (rtd), has been laid to rest at his country home in Odo-Ape in Kabba -Bunu local government area of Kogi State on Friday amidst tears and tributes from dignitaries, friends, and family members.
Late Thomas was the elder brother of Hon. Duro Meseko, the National Deputy Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC.
Speaking at the funeral service which took place at Saint Bartholomew’s
Anglican Communion Church, Odo- Ape, Pastor Michael Moses, described the demise of ASP Thomas Olubade Meseko as a lesson to those alive, emphasising the importance of living an exemplary life to be remembered after one’s passing.
The Pastor recalled the philanthropic life of Meseko, noting that he had always strived to touch people’s lives in meaningful ways.
He praised Meseko’s commitment to service and his exemplary life, which he said should serve as a model for others to emulate.
“His demise is a lesson to us all,” Pastor Moses said, adding “We must strive to live a life that will be remembered for good. We must touch lives, we must make a difference, and we must leave a lasting legacy.”
In his remark, Hon. Duro Meseko said that is late elder brother, ASP Thomas Olubade Meseko (rtd) had lived beyond every barrier.
He said that the deceased related with everybody irrespective of tribal, religious or denominational differences.
The APC National Deputy Publicity Secretary urged everyone to emulate virtues exhibited by the deceased in order to make the world a better place for all to live in peace.
