Kogi Council Of Ulama’u Closes Ramadan Tafsir, Task Faithfuls To Reflect On Lesson Of Holy Month

This year’s Ramadan Tafsir organized by the Kogi State chapter of Council of Ulama’u has been brought to a close few days to the end of the month long religion exercise.

The Ramadan Tafsir was brought to an end on Thursday as believers were encouraged on the act of righteousness and warned against sins that will invoke the wrath of God.

Speaking at the event, the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly,  Rt. Aliyu Umar Yusuf called on muslims to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan to improve on the existing peace, unity and love among different religion followers in the State.

He described the month of Ramadan as special in the Islamic calendar hence the need for Muslims and others to enhance and sustain the prayers and other good deeds of the month even after the Ramadan exercise.

The Speaker enjoined muslims and other religions believers to recognize the importance of unity, love and peaceful coexistence and apply it in their day to day affairs.

”This year muslim ramadan fasting coincided with the christians fasting of lent, which has shown the special nature of the period and other spiritual activities, I want to urge us all to reflect on the lessons learned in our daily dealings with one another”

”The period provide for coming closer to God, assisting the less privilege and prayers for leaders and the nation.

”Lessons learnt should not be forgotten, it should be sustain beyond the spiritual month.

In his closing remarks, the Secretary of the Council, Alhaji Idris Baba’Ango,
called on the faithful that attended the Tafsir to make good use of the knowledge they have acquired.

He encouraged the believers to use the lessons of ramadan to improve on their relationship with their fellow beings and God.

Baba’Ango thanked those that contributed for the success of the Ramadan Tafsir.

The session featured lecture delivered by Barrister Muhammad Jamiu Yusuf and special prayers for the State and the Country at large.
