Ramadan 2025: Kogi Council Of Ulama’u Declares Ramadan Lecture Series Open

The Kogi State chapter of the Council of Ulama’u of Nigeria has heralded its activities for the 2025 Ramadan Fast with special prayers for the peace and stability of the state and the nation at large.

The Imam of Police Barrack, Lokoja, Imam Abdulsalam Mohammed who led other Islamic Clerics during the special prayers held at the Lokoja Central Mosque, also admonished Muslims to dedicate themselves to the service of Allah during the Holy Month.

He said the month of Ramadan is a sacred month of sober reflection which give Muslims the opportunity to examine their actions, intention and spiritual growth as well as purifying themselves, calling on wealth individuals to assist the less privilege in the society.

Other Islamic scholars in their separate remarks charged Muslims to fear Allah in all their daily activities.

The Holy Quran was recited to herald the commencement of the Ramadan Lecture Series.

It is expected that Ramadan Fast will commence on Saturday, 1st of March, 2025, which is equivalent to 1st of Ramadan, 1446AH immediately the new crescent moon is sighted.
