Madarasatul Ummul Yasir Graduates 9 Qur’anic Memorizers In Lokoja

An Islamic School in Lokoja, Madarasatul Ummul Yasir, has graduated nine Qur’anic memorizers in its 2025 graduation ceremony.

The event took place on Saturday at the school premises in Angwan Pawa in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The colorful occasion was graced by Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, politicians, and philanthropists.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion, Khalifa Justice Nurudeen Yusuf Abdullah, congratulated the graduating students on their achievement in acquiring sound Islamic education, particularly in memorizing the Holy Qur’an.

The chairman pledged his support for the school whenever needed.

Earlier, the Grand Patron of the school, Barrister Muhammad Sani Inuwa, highlighted the institution’s achievements, including the acquisition of school premises and increased student enrollment.

He congratulated the memorizers and urged them to continue pursuing Qur’anic education and research, as well as spreading Islamic knowledge.

Barrister Inuwa also called on the state and local governments to support the school by providing additional classrooms and teachers due to the school’s growing population.

He also commended the teachers, students, and parents for their dedication to Qur’anic memorization.

Alhaji Isah Alhassan, a guardian to one of the memorizers, Khadijat Isah Al-Hassan, emphasized that parental dedication plays a crucial role in children’s educational success.

He expressed gratitude to Allah for blessing him with a Qur’anic memorizer among his children.
