A philanthropist and Lokoja-based businessman, Hon. Munkail Dan-Asabe Abdulkadir as named his newly born baby after his late grandfather.
The son was named ####Mariam Danjuma Dauda, reflecting his late grandfather.
The naming ceremony took place on Wednesday at his family resident in Lokongoma, Lokoja.
In an interview with Abdulkadir shortly after the naming ceremony, he said he named the newly born baby after his late grandfather because of the recognition and respect he had for the deceased.
In his appreciation message, he said: “I wish to thank my wonderful family, friends and well wishers for making this naming ceremony a successful one.Your prayers and well wishes are all that was needed to make this child naming memorable and momentous.
“With immense gratitude and the deepest sense of humility, this is my own way of saying thank you so much for being such a great part of this new chapter of my family life. My appreciation is but a simple drop in the ocean compared to what you all have done and how special I feel. I am humbled by your staunch exhibition of love, support and solidarity.
“Once again, I thank my friends, supporters, well wishers and associates too numerous to mention for being a part of the celebration and for all your wishes as well as various goodwill gestures. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making the naming ceremony so special and making this day the greatest day amongst all.
“May Allah continually bless us all and crown our endeavours with resounding success.
The naming ceremony which was conducted by the Chief Imam of Lokongoma, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakari, featured special prayers for Nigeria and Kogi State.
