The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, has described the
River State Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Alhaji Abdulmajeed Yabagi, as a worth ity ambassador whom the citizens of the state are always proud of.
Sheikh Shaban lauding him for his contributions to the growth and development of Islam in Lokoja, Kogi and the country at large.
He said Abdulmajeed Yabagi is a philanthropist that has tourched so many lives in Lokoja LGA and beyond.
Sheikh Shaban stated this in a sermon during the special thanksgiving Service in honour of the Immigration boss held at his GRA residence in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He encouraged politicians to always strive to use their positions of authority to serve God and see to the advancement of humanity, as it is the only window to be on the right side of the Almighty on the day of reckoning.
The Chief Imam stated: “Yabagi is a true servant of Allah. God’s Grace has always reflected positively and remarkably in his life. The way he has associated with Muslims and contributed to the growth of Islam in Lokoja and Kogi, in general, is noteworthy.
“We thank Allah on your behalf. Being in public office or serving humanity is not a mean feat. You have survived all the challenges of leadership and succeeded tremendously in all the positions of authority you have held. You are a definition of rarity in humanity and excellence.
Responding, elder brother of Abdulmajeed, who spoke on behalf of Yabagi family, Alhaji Abdulwahid Yabagi thanked the Muslim community for its support.
He pledged to continue to work for the growth of Lokoja and Kogi in general, just as he urged people to embrace patience and peaceful co-existence at all times.
He said: Abdulmajeed was here last year and all of you prayed for him. Your prayers have continued to strengthen him to excel in all ramifications. We cannot forget all that you did for Yabagi family to make us succeed. That is why I am here to thank you on behalf of the Yabagi family.
Special prayers were offered for the Immigration boss, his family, aides, associates and friends who attended the Maulud and Thanksgiving.
The Yabagi’s family also acknowledged cheers from the waiting crowd who thronged Abdulmajeed GRA residence after the prayers.
The ceremony was attended by the Kaduna State Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Dahir Lawal, members of Danko Development Forum, led by it chairman and Sadaukin Lakwaja, Alhaji Bama Mudi , Retired comptroller of custom, Abubakar Ali Bala, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq of NPA,Lagos .
Others are; Magajin Gari of Lokoja, Khalifa Ibrahim Etsu Shuiabu Kenchi, ki Gudu of Lokoja, Alhaji Maigari Musa Nagidi, Shantalin of Lokoja and Shatima of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammad mabo Kasim and a host of others.
