Lokoja Agog As Maigari Gives  Sister’s Hand In Marriage

The Maigari Palace pavilion was filled to the brim on Friday as the Chairman Lokoja Local Government Council of traditional rulers and Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi, gave out his sister, Maimunat Kabir Maikarfi’s hand in marriage to her spouse, Dr AbdulMalik Muhammed.

The wedding Fatiha was consummated after the fulfilment of all requirements of Islamic marriage and payment of one hundred thousand naira by Alhaji Abdulazeez sani to the Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, Shiekh Aminu Shaban and witnessed by hundreds of well wishers.

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf was represented by the member representing Lokoja 1 State Constituency, Hon. Shehu Tijjani Ebaiya.

He felicitated with the royal family and wished the couple a blissful marriage life in peace, understanding and love for one another.

The speaker further congratulated the Royal family on the successful wedding of their daughter, Maimunat.

He said it is the wish of every parent to see their children grow into adult hood and have their own home with a view of rising their own family.

While congratulating the newly wedded couples he employed them to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, patience and love while their marriage last.

The lawmaker was accompanied by Commissioner of Water Resources, Engr Faruq Danladi.

In his message of appreciation, the Maigari of Lokoja, represented by the Shetima of Lokoja, Alhaji Kasim Mabo thanked all that come appreciated all to grace the ceremony.

The wedding Fatiha witnessed by thousands of well wishers, among whom were traditional rulers, title holders, top government officials and captains of industry among others.
