A mentally challenged woman who identified herself simply as Grace, has given birth to a baby boy in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The woman, whose age is said to be between 25 and 30 years, delivered the baby under Ganaja junction flyover around 6pm on Monday.
Our reporter who spoke with the woman said that she was not coherent in her speech, making it difficult for residents to get details of who is responsible for the pregnancy.
Although, she claimed she came from Igara in Edo State.
Our findings show that the newly born baby boy is dead, though not medically confirmed.
It was gathered that the incident had been reported at A Division Police Station in Lokoja, while the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare had also been contacted.
