A 19-year-old man, Abba Yusuf, has allegedly killed his 60-year-old father, Alhaji Dahiru Yusuf Maileather, in the Sarkin-Noma area of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
An eyewitness told Nationalwatch Tv that the incident happened at the weekend at Sarkin-Noma quarters at about 8.30 p.m. when Dahiru Yusuf was stabbed to death by his son.
Elder brother of the deceased, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammed Bala, said he was at his residence when a sister called him.
“When my sister called me, she said our brother has been killed by his son. I quickly ran to my brother’s residence and only to be told he has been moved to an hospital.
He said the suspect has been handed over to the police.
He said the mother of the suspect and her other two children have ran away to an unknown destination.
