The former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has lambasted some former governors who refused to pay their state counterpart fund during their tenure for the education of school children but sent theirs to schools abroad.
Senator Oshiomhole lambasted the Ex Governors at a ceremony in Abuja over the weekend.
Oshiomhole said it’s high time the federal government deal with such governors.
He said; “Some former governors, during their tenure who argued that they don’t have 50 percent subsidy to to pay to allow children of the poor to go to school but can send theirs to schools abroad with government money.
“If you can mention the name of a thief who stole goat, why not mention the names of such governors in a public fora.
“Imagine, if not in Nigeria, how can a serving governor prevent a federal agency from carrying out it’s constitutional duty.
