Four persons have reportedly lost their lives in Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital in a gas tanker explosion on Saturday evening.
The explosion which occured when a vehicle manoeuvred along the road railings, causing multiple accidents also had about six vehicles burnt to ashes.
National Watch Tv reports that among the vehicles consumed by the blaze were taxis, a private car, and a truck, with the impact extending to nearby shops and houses.
Also, National Watch Tv gathered that emergency response teams, including personnel from the Federal Road Safety Corps, have mobilised to the scene to evacuate the remains of the victims and contain the inferno.
Eye witness also said some of the casualties had already been rushed to the hospital for treatment
