Sheikh Abubilat Organizes Prayer Session For Gov Ododo, Ex-Gov Bello, Maigari Of Lokoja, Others

In a bid to express his thanks and appreciation to God, the newly appointed Permanent Member 11 of the Kogi State Hajj Commission, Sheikh Muhammed Yahaya Abubilat organized a special prayer session to express his gratification for the appointment.

Sheikh Abubilat is the Chief Imam of Kutepa Jummat Mosque in Lokoja.

The program held on Sunday at a Mosque in Kabawa, Lokoja, witnessed the rendering of prayers by muslim clerics.

Speaking at the event, the convener, Sheikh Abubilat noted that the program was geared towards using prayer as a potent instrument to appreciate God and APC leaders who made the appointment possible.

Special prayers were also offered to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, the immediate past governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi IV, Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, APC leader for Lokoja/Kogi LGAs , Alhaji Sulaiman Baba-Ali and Justice Abdu Aboki, retired Supreme Court Justice.

Others are, Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye, member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Shehu Tijjani Ebaiya, member representing Lokoja 1 state constituency, Commissioner for Sold Mineral, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu.

Abubilat who thanked governor Ododo for finding him worthy to be appointed as Kogi State Hajj Commission Permanent Member 2, promised to give his best.

He further charged Kogites to support governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, noting that, “it is our support and prayers that will make him succeed.

The prayer session which was well attended had Lokoja traditional title holders, Islamic Clerics, politicians,  top government officials, friends and well-wishers in attendance.
