The Ohimagye Igu of Koton- Karfe and Chairman of the Lokoja/Kogi Traditional Council. Alhaji (Dr.) Saidu Akawu Salihu has urged Muslims to continue to be thankful to Almighty Allah for His mercies and protection over them.
In his Sallah message to the people of Koton- Karfe Kingdom and beyond, delivered at the Koton-Karfe Central Eid praying ground marking the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the monarch noted that despite all the challenges facing the nation, the people of Koton-Karfe are living in peace and harmony, “which necessitates us to remain grateful and prayerful always.”.
The Eid prayer, which was led by the Chief Imam of Koton-Karfe, Sheikh Musa Yakubu Imam, at exactly 9 am, had state government functionaries and Islamic Clerics in attendance.
The Ohimagye Igu, who condemned acts of kidnapping and other social vices that had persisted in the nation, advised citizens to always support leaders with fervent prayers and obedience in order to deliver on their mandates.
Alhaji Salihu also sued for support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, while he advised worshippers to always conduct themselves peacefully and desist from overheating the polity.
