Rice sellers in Kpata market, Lokoja, have made passionate appeal to the Kogi State government to set-up a Taskforce that will stop mass purchase of rice by marchants to other states.
According to them, the mass purchase of rice by these Marchants allegedly coming from Kano state are reasons for the high cost of rice and other food items in the state.
In an interview with some of the rice sellers at Kpata market in Lokoja, today, by National Watch Tv crew, the traders said; “trucks that always come to park or buy rice from our villagers in bulk should be halted by the state government.
