A market woman in Ogun State, (names withheld) has lamented over the spiking rise in the prices of food items in the country.
The market woman said the Federal government should please have mercy on the masses as the suffering is now unbearable.
She said; “If they do not protest, we the market women will go naked and protest. There is too much suffering in the country. Please find solutions for these things. Garri is now N2000. Since my father gave birth to me, I have never bought a paint of garri for N2000. The suffering is too much. A derica of Rice is now N1200. For what reason? It is too much oo..To buy meat now…It is only kpomo (cow skin) we are buying, even the kpomo is now expensive. Three pieces of fish is now N1200. Please have mercy on us, our father. This suffering is too much please”
