The Lokoja Local Government Area Caretaker Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Adamu has debunked newspaper reports not (National Watch Tv) that some traders in Lokoja protested food price hike, saying that the reports were malicious and baseless.
According to him; “As far as we are concerned, no trader in Lokoja LGA stege any protest.
“The traders picture the newspapers displayed in their publications are photographs of the traders who went to pay homage to the new Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi.
“As usually practiced by our traders, each time they want to pay homage to traditional rulers, they usually carry along the items they sell.
The local government boss who explained this to newsmen in his office on Friday, advised journalists to always cross-check their facts before publications.
