… Appeals for patience

The newly appointed Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya Danladi Faruq, has said shortage of water supply would soon be completely resolved in the state as his office will not leave any stone unturned in the bid to ensure that citizens enjoy adequate potable water.
Faruq stated this on Wednesday at his GRA residence shortly after his swearing in and appointment as Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources.
According to him; “the Government is aware of the challenges. We are not unmindful of the water scarcity. As soon as we assume office, we will take a look at the challenges, see how we can solve the problems once and for all”.
“The greater Lokoja water works has the capacity to deliver 10million cubic metres of water to the people daily”.
”We have a strong conviction that with 3million cubic metres, water supply can be reticulated to all parts of the State capital”
”As an Engineer we are trained to be problem solvers. I can assure you that everything humanly possible would be done to solve the problem of water in Lokoja and other parts of the State”.
The commissioner further appealed to residence to be patience with his ministry saying that very soon water scarcity problem will be over.
