Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency Town Hall Meeting Ends with Renewed Support for Tinubu, Karimi

A town hall meeting convened by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi with stakeholders and residents of the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency has ended with renewed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Karimi and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held on Thursday at the 95 Degree Hall in Kabba, attracted a large crowd of supporters and stakeholders from across the federal constituency.

In attendance were royal fathers, APC leaders, political appointees, women, youths, party members and other community stakeholders.

The engagement was part of Senator Karimi’s ongoing town hall meetings aimed at interacting directly with constituents, taking stock of his stewardship and discussing issues affecting the people of the constituency.

During the meeting, Karimi reeled out his achievements during his first tenure in the National Assembly, highlighting interventions across key sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, security and empowerment.

In the education sector, the senator highlighted his bursary programme, through which financial assistance was provided to students from the constituency to support their academic pursuits.

He also outlined his interventions in the health sector, including initiatives aimed at improving access to healthcare services and supporting communities with essential health infrastructure.

On infrastructure, Karimi listed various projects and interventions facilitated across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu, noting that the initiatives were aimed at improving connectivity and the general living conditions of constituents.

The senator further highlighted his interventions in the security sector, stressing the importance of supporting security agencies and strengthening efforts to protect lives and property across the constituency.

In the area of empowerment, Karimi spoke on various programmes targeted at youths, women and other constituents to promote economic opportunities, self-reliance and improved livelihoods.

In their separate goodwill messages, stakeholders at the meeting commended Senator Karimi for his representation and commitment to the development of the constituency.

They assured him of their continued support and pledged to mobilise votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Karimi and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

The stakeholders also called for unity among APC members and supporters, stressing the need for collective efforts to sustain the party’s political strength across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu.

Karimi appreciated the royal fathers, party leaders, political appointees, women, youths and other stakeholders for attending the meeting and for their continued support.

He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and promised to continue engaging with his constituents while pursuing projects and programmes that would improve their welfare.

The town hall meeting ended on a high note, with participants reaffirming their support for Senator Karimi, President Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
