The family of late Aisha Aminu Nasidi has held a special Fidau prayer in her honour in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The prayer session took place at the Late Musa Nasidi Masjid in Angwan Kura, Lokoja, where family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to pray for the repose of her soul.
The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, led the prayer session and offered special prayers for the deceased, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family.
Speaking during the event, the Waziri of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahman Idris, prayed for the deceased and sought Allah’s protection and guidance for the children she left behind.
On behalf of the family, the Hakimi of Ward D, Alhaji Isah Nasidi, expressed appreciation to all those who attended the prayer session.
He thanked sympathisers for their support and prayers and prayed that Allah would reward them abundantly.
The Fidau prayer attracted a large number of dignitaries, including top government officials, politicians, traditional title holders, Islamic scholars, community leaders, and other well-wishers from within and outside Lokoja.
The gathering concluded with prayers for the deceased, her family, and for peace, unity, and progress in Lokoja and Kogi State at large.
