A political stakeholder in Kogi West, Prince Orebiyi Emmanuel Taiwo, has dismissed growing opposition against the second term ambition of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, insisting that the lawmaker remains firmly connected to the nation’s power structure and enjoys strong political relevance.

Orebiyi stated this while reacting to recent political developments surrounding the senator, noting that the recent Eid-el-Kabir homage visit by the leadership of the Senate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos sends a clear message to discerning political observers.

According to him, the visit, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, further reinforces Senator Karimi’s standing within the ruling political establishment and signals growing momentum for his second term bid.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the Senate leadership led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah homage visit at his Lagos residence. For those who understand the language of politics and leadership, this picture speaks volumes,” he said.

He maintained that Senator Karimi’s second term aspiration has become “sacrosanct and non-negotiable,” stressing that political relevance is built on loyalty, strategic relationships, performance, and consistency in governance.

“It is crystal clear to every discerning mind that Senator Sunday Karimi remains a strong force whose second term bid is not only gaining momentum but appears sacrosanct and non-negotiable,” Orebiyi stated.

The political stakeholder also mocked critics and opponents of the senator, saying they were busy speculating while ignoring visible signs within the political space.

“While some are busy speculating, the signs are already visible for those wise enough to read between the lines. Leadership recognizes loyalty, dedication, and effective representation, and Senator Sunday Karimi has continued to prove his worth,” he added.

He expressed confidence that the political journey ahead for the senator was becoming clearer by the day, insisting that supporters of the lawmaker remain optimistic about the future.
