The Lokoja Forum of Patriots (LFP), organizers of the annual Lokoja Boat Regatta, has congratulated the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Senator Sunday Karimi, and Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye on their victories at the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
In a press statement signed by the Forum Chairman, Alhaji Idris BabaâAngo, and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Saturday, the group described the victories as a reflection of the confidence and trust party members have in the leadership capacity and political experience of the candidates.
The forum noted that the emergence of the trio at the APC primaries was a clear indication of their grassroots support and commitment to the development of their respective constituencies and Kogi State at large.
According to the statement, the Forum expressed confidence that the candidates would continue to provide quality representation and effective leadership that would promote unity, progress, and democratic dividends for the people.
The statement added that the victories recorded by the candidates have further strengthened the confidence of party faithful and supporters across Lokoja and Kogi State.
The Forum also commended members of the APC for conducting themselves peacefully during the primary election process, describing the exercise as orderly and successful.
Alhaji Idris BabaâAngo urged the victorious candidates to remain committed to the welfare of the people and sustain their close relationship with the grassroots.
The group further prayed for wisdom, strength, and success for the victorious candidates as they prepare for the next phase of the electoral process.
