JUST IN: Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency APC Holds Peaceful Primary Election as Aguye Emerges Reps Candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency on Saturday conducted a peaceful primary election across the 21 wards of the constituency, with Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye emerging as the party’s House of Representatives candidate as the sole aspirant in the race.

NationalWatch TV, which monitored the exercise in some wards, observed that the election was conducted peacefully, with party members displaying unity and orderliness throughout the process.

At Ward B, the election commenced as scheduled in a calm atmosphere. APC members participated peacefully as officials carried out the exercise without disruption.

Speaking with NationalWatch TV, APC leader in the ward, Abdullahi Sulaiman Ndalayi, commended party members for their peaceful conduct and congratulated Sulaiman Danladi Aguye on his emergence as the party’s candidate.

In Ward E, the exercise was equally peaceful, as party leaders praised members for their discipline and commitment to the progress of the APC.

At the Lokoja 2 collation centre in Felele, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Sulaiman Danladi Aguye, and other APC stakeholders were present during the collation process.

Some party leaders who spoke to NationalWatch TV commended members across the constituency for ensuring a hitch-free exercise. They also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for promoting unity and stability within the party.

In his appreciation message, Sulaiman Danladi Aguye thanked Governor Ododo, APC stakeholders, and party members for their support and confidence in him.

He promised to continue delivering quality representation to the people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency if re-elected for a second term in the House of Representatives.

Aguye also assured party members and constituents that he would remain committed to attracting more developmental projects, empowering youths and women, and supporting policies that would improve the welfare of the people.

He called on APC members across the constituency to remain united ahead of the general election, stressing that the party’s strength lies in unity, loyalty, and collective support for the administration of Governor Ododo.
