Ya’aba Maisaka Submits Letter of Intent for Lokoja 1 Assembly Seat, Promises Effective Representation

Abdulmalik Abubakar, fondly called Ya’aba Maisaka, has formally submitted his letter of intent to contest for the Lokoja 1 State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

The frontline aspirant began the process in Ward ‘E’, where he presented his letter and was received by party faithful and supporters.

In the ward, stakeholders spoke highly of him, describing him as a grassroots politician with a strong connection to the people and a track record of community engagement.

He thereafter proceeded to Wards A, B, C, and D, engaging with stakeholders and seeking their support ahead of the forthcoming elections.

At the APC Local Government Secretariat in Lokoja, the party chairman, Hon. Jibril Kasim Idris, praised Ya’aba Maisaka for his orderly conduct and commitment to the party, assuring that the leadership would be fair to all aspirants and do justice in the selection process.

Hon. Idris further disclosed that, so far, seven aspirants have submitted their letters of intent for the seat and called on stakeholders to actively participate in the ongoing membership registration exercise.

Also at the Secretariat, the party vice chairman, Arch. Femi Oluyori, commended the aspirant, describing his conduct and grassroots engagement as exemplary and encouraging for other aspirants.

Speaking to supporters during his visits, Ya’aba Maisaka outlined his plans for the LOKOJA 1 Assembly Seat, promising to provide effective representation while prioritizing education, health, sports, security, and empowerment for youths and women.

He pledged to improve school infrastructure, expand healthcare access, promote youth participation in sports, strengthen security, and create opportunities for youths and women to thrive in the constituency.

The campaign train also toured major parts of the Lokoja metropolis, drawing attention from residents who turned out in large numbers to show their support.

Political watchers say his early consultations and wide engagement across the wards place him among key contenders in the race for the Lokoja 1 Assembly Seat.
