Dignitaries, Clerics Honour Late Muhammed Kabir Yusuf (KBY) At 3-Day Fidau Prayers

Some prominent Islamic clerics and dignitaries on Thursday, gathered at Karaworo-Alheri Street in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital for the 3-Day Fidau prayers of late Muhammed Kabir Yusuf Olarewaju who died on Monday, Dec.15.

The clerics included Chief Imam of Khairat Central Mosque Lokoja, Sheikh Mamud Maku, Ustaz Abdulsalami Salihu, Imam of Karaworo Mosque, Lokoja and a host of others.

In a sermon at the prayer session, Imam Mamud Maku, urged public office holders to be responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the masses.

Maku who reminded everyone of the inevitability of death, enjoined public office holders to discharge their duties with fear of God as they will one day give their account of stewardship to their creator.

He urged Nigerians to live a life worthy of emulation by the future generation.

The cleric described late Muhammed Kabir Yusuf Olarewaju as an courageous politician with impeccable character who lived a purposeful life worthy of emulation by all peace-lovers.

In his vote of thanks, Taiye Yusuf, younger brother of the deceased, thanked all that were present at the Fidau prayer and prayed Allah to grant them safe journeys to their destinations.

He further announced that the 8-Day special Fidau prayer for his elder brother will hold on Monday, 22, January.

In attendance at the ceremony are; The Dogaji of Lokoja, Alhaji Kilani Hassan, NUJ Vice Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Obansa, Top  politicians Islamic Clerics, friends and well-  wishers
