The newly appointed Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi, has returned to Lokoja few days after his appointment by the Kogi State government.
On Wednesday, people thronged to the streets as the traditional ruler arrived his palace in Lokoja.
As early as 8 am, Lokojans and well-wishers of the new Maigari, trooped out to Jamata, a village far away from Lokoja eagerly waiting for his arrival.
As soon as the monarch arrived Jamata the mammoth crowds busted into singing and dancing, having passed through some villages, acknowledging cheers from the people there.
As at the time of filling this report, the new Maigari of Lokoja’s convoy is expected to drive straight to his palace where he will be turban by the King Makers and address his subjects.
