Hon. Sulaiman Baba-Ali, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Gabi Sayadi of Lokoja, has assured party members that the APC in Lokoja Local Government Area remains united and indivisible, despite recent speculations of internal disagreements.
Baba-Ali made the declaration on Saturday during a condolence visit to the family of the late Halidu Shaibu Ohimozi at Karaworo Street in Lokoja.
Addressing party supporters and community members during the visit, he emphasized that past disagreements within the party had been resolved, and members are now working together as one team.
“Whatever issues they may say we had in the past, all those issues are in the past. We are working as a team,” he said.
He further highlighted that the leadership and stakeholders of the party in Lokoja are fully aligned, including the current Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, the incoming Local Government Chairman, Abdurahman Hussaini (Gentle), ward councillors, and other party officials.
According to Baba-Ali, he had spoken with the current APC Chairman in Lokoja, Abdullahi Ademowun, before the condolence visit, and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to party unity.
“Before I came here, I also spoke with Abdullahi Ademowun, the current chairman, and we are all on the same page. Let the news go out that we are a team and we are working together,” he stated.
Baba-Ali also pledged his support for the incoming Local Government Chairman and the new APC Local Government Party Chairman, Idris Aloma, stressing that all stakeholders are united for the progress and stability of the party in the area.
He urged party members and supporters to remain united and focused on strengthening the APC in Lokoja LGA.
