Family, friends and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell to Malama Musa Adama Ayinke, the aunt of the proprietor of National Watch TV, Amuda Dan Sulaiman Fab, who passed away at the age of 83. The funeral was marked by heartfelt prayers, tears, and moving tributes celebrating her life and legacy.
The Jana’iza (funeral) prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, who prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased. He encouraged the family to remain patient and steadfast in their faith during this time of grief.
Conducted according to Islamic rites, the burial took place at Hangwan-Kura Muslim Cemetery in Lokoja, drawing community leaders, Islamic scholars, media practitioners, and residents who came to honour the late matriarch and offer condolences to the grieving family.
Malama Musa Adama Ayinke is survived by four children, including Muhammad Babanzaure Musa, a senior staff member of the Lokoja Local Government Area.
Speaking after the burial, Muhammad Babanzaure Musa expressed deep gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the family, praying that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
The late matriarch was widely remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Many attendees shared personal stories of how she positively impacted lives, mentoring young women, supporting local charitable initiatives, and providing guidance to her extended family.
Community leaders praised her contributions to fostering unity and harmony among residents.
“She was a beacon of love and wisdom,” said one local leader.
“Her legacy will continue to inspire generations.”
Media practitioners also paid tribute, acknowledging her indirect influence on the growth of local journalism through her nephew, Amuda Dan Sulaiman Fab, and her encouragement of ethical and responsible reporting.
The funeral concluded with prayers for the family’s strength and patience, as well as supplications for the soul of the deceased.
Attendees left carrying fond memories, a sense of solemnity, and a commitment to honour her legacy through acts of kindness and service.
