Residents of Ward ‘A’ in Lokoja Local Government Area have benefited from the Ramadan relief initiative of the Kutepa Outreach, as food items were distributed to support families observing the holy month of Ramadan.

The distribution exercise, which attracted many residents of the ward, was aimed at easing the hardship faced by vulnerable households and ensuring that more people are able to observe the fasting period with adequate food support.

Speaking during the exercise, the Hakimi of Ward A, Alhaji Idris Abdulraman, expressed appreciation to the outreach for always considering his ward in its humanitarian programmes.

He noted that the donation has brought relief to many families and further strengthened the relationship between the outreach and the community.

He commended the Founder of the outreach, Abdulrazak Isah Kutepa, for sustaining the Ramadan relief programme and consistently demonstrating concern for the welfare of the people.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the distribution committee, Ustaz Alfa Gimba Yabagi, praised Kutepa for his generosity and commitment to humanitarian service.

He noted that the outreach has continued to impact positively on the lives of many residents across Lokoja.

Ustaz Yabagi explained that the donated food items would be distributed across all the axes under Ward A to ensure that every part of the ward benefits from the gesture.

He added that the committee has put in place a fair and transparent process to ensure the items reach the intended beneficiaries.

He said the committee carefully compiled the list of beneficiaries to ensure that the most vulnerable residents, including the elderly, widows and low-income families, are prioritized in the distribution.

According to him, the Ramadan intervention by the outreach has continued to strengthen the spirit of compassion, unity and support among members of the community, especially during the sacred month.

He also called on other well-meaning indigenes of Lokoja to emulate Kutepa’s philanthropic gesture by initiating programmes that will improve the welfare of the people.

In his appreciation message, one of the beneficiaries, Mamud Shehu, commended Kutepa for remembering the less privileged in the community.

He described the gesture as timely and prayed for Allah to continue to bless and reward him for his generosity and commitment to helping those in need.

He noted that the food items would go a long way in supporting his family and others during the fasting period, adding that many residents were grateful for the assistance.

Other beneficiaries also expressed gratitude for the donated food items, noting that the support would significantly ease the burden on their households during Ramadan.

They prayed for continued success, good health and greater achievements for the founder of the outreach and his team as they continue their humanitarian services.
