Senator Sunday Karimi has called on political stakeholders in Kogi State to embrace truth, openness, and unity as critical tools for ensuring victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The senator made the call on Wednesday in Lokoja while speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF).

Senator Karimi, who is representing Kogi West acknowledged that there are many people in the state who are currently dissatisfied, warning that ignoring their grievances could negatively affect the party’s chances in 2027.

He stressed the need for sincere engagement and internal reconciliation to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

“We know there are so many people in this state that are not happy and if we leave them like that, we will not win the 2027 elections. We want Mr. President to win and win well,” he said.

He explained that the forum was not set up to fight anyone but to promote honesty, loyalty, and genuine love for both President Tinubu and Kogi State.

“We are not fighting anybody, but we are not pretenders. We are not liars. We are truthful people. We love Mr. President, we love Kogi and want to move the state forward,” Senator Karimi stated.

The lawmaker urged party members to openly express their grievances, assuring them that positive changes would follow, while cautioning that the inability to speak truth within the party could lead to serious challenges.

“Voice out your grievances and insha Allah, there will be changes. When we have a situation where we cannot tell each other the truth, then we are in trouble,” he added.

The meeting drew party stakeholders and grassroots leaders from across the state, who reaffirmed their commitment to unity and effective mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.
