Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja Ward A on Sunday rallied behind Muhammad Mikail (Ya’aba), who hails from Ward A, as their preferred candidate for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

The endorsement took place at LGEA Primary School, Adankolo, Lokoja, where hundreds of party youths from across the ward gathered to express confidence in Ya’aba’s leadership and commitment to the development of the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, the leader of the APC youth group, Alhaji Isah Muhammad, described Ya’aba as a loyal party man with a strong record of grassroots engagement.

He said the endorsement was motivated by Ya’aba’s dedication to youth empowerment, community development, and his accessibility to party members at the ward level.

Alhaji Muhammad stressed that the youths are determined to support a candidate who understands their challenges and is prepared to champion policies that create opportunities for young people and promote inclusive governance.

Responding, Ya’aba thanked the youths for their confidence and urged them to actively participate in the ongoing APC registration and revalidation exercise, noting that mass registration is vital for strengthening the party and enhancing youth involvement in politics.

He further assured the gathering that, if elected, he would prioritize youth development, education, and legislation that benefits the people of Lokoja I State Constituency.

Ya’aba pledged to work closely with the state government to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every community in the constituency.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity and collective action, as party youths pledged to mobilize support for the APC and ensure the success of Muhammad Mikail (Ya’aba) in the forthcoming elections.
