Comrade Adam Salih Bala, popularly known as Bala Justice, on Saturday officially declared his intention to contest the Lokoja I State House of Assembly seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bala Justice began his declaration from his Ward E of Lokoja Local Government Area and proceeded to the remaining four wardsâA, B, C, and Dâwhere he formally submitted his letter of intent to party officials in each ward.
This step marked the official start of his campaign and confirmed his readiness to participate in the APC primary election.
Speaking at the various wards, Bala Justice said his decision to contest stems from a long-standing commitment to public service.
He noted that his experience as a Supervisory Councillor gave him firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing residents at the grassroots level.
âMy aspiration is to promote inclusive development, effective representation, and people-oriented legislation for Lokoja I Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly,â
Bala Justice declared.
Residents and party members at the wards commended Bala Justice for his philanthropic contributions across Lokoja Local Government Area.
He has been praised for settling hospital bills for indigent residents, awarding scholarships to students, and sponsoring free holiday lessons for schoolchildren during long vacations.
He has also provided books and learning materials to pupils, a gesture credited with improving academic performance among beneficiaries.
Several APC stakeholders described Bala Justice as accessible and grassroots-oriented, urging him to maintain consistent engagement with party members and the wider electorate.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the Bala Justice Campaign Organisation, Comrade Isiaka Sulaiman Feki, highlighted the aspirantâs contributions to community development, youth empowerment, and social welfare. Comrade Feki called on APC leaders, elders, and delegates in Lokoja I Constituency to rally behind Bala Justice, stressing that his experience and dedication make him a strong contender for the assembly seat.
The campaign train finally ended at the residence of APC leader, Rt. Hon. Umar Alfa Imam, in GRA, where he warmly received Bala Justice and his team.
He commended the aspirant for his commitment to grassroots engagement and community development, advising that they should maintain unity within the party, respect the democratic process, and continue to build strong connections with the electorate.
Rt. Hon. Umar Alfa Imam further stressed that success in the primaries and beyond would require discipline, transparency, and consistent service to the people, urging Bala Justice and his supporters to uphold these values as they pursued the Lokoja I Assembly seat.
RTComrade Feki expressed confidence that Bala Justiceâs record of service, compassion, and accessibility would translate into impactful legislation and quality representation if elected.
