The National Coordinator of the Christian Northern Progressive Forum, Elder Hon. Gabriel Itodo, on Saturday flagged off the distribution of Christmas rice sponsored by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Ekwa Church, 2000 Housing Unit, Lokoja.
Elder Itodo praised Senator Oluremi for her unwavering support and magnanimity, saying her leadership played a key role in rallying APC support in Northern states.
âHer resilience and commitment inspire us to stand by her,â he said.
He also acknowledged Right Honourable Aminu Sani Jaji and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters for their support in advancing the Presidentâs agenda.
Apologizing for the delayed distribution, Itodo assured participants of more timely support in the future.
The festive provisions targeted Christians, widows, the disabled, and other vulnerable community members.
Elder Solomon David, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Senator Oluremi.
He said: âHer generosity has brought joy to many homes. We pray God continues to bless her.â
Community members joined in the praise. Mrs. Esther Okoro, a widow, said the rice would ease her burdens and make Christmas truly special, while Mr. Daniel Ayuba, a physically challenged recipient, applauded the senator for her care for the vulnerable.
The ceremony also featured prayers led by Ekwa Church clergy, who commended Senator Oluremiâs dedication to uplifting communities and fostering unity.
Political observers noted that such gestures strengthen grassroots support and party cohesion ahead of the 2027 elections.
Through her generosity and political commitment, Senator Oluremi has reinforced community ties and cemented her place as a beloved leader among Northern Christians and APC supporters alike.
