The newly affirmed Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has promised to embark on a comprehensive reconciliation process aimed at uniting all aggrieved members of the party across the state.
Gambo made the pledge on Tuesday while addressing party leaders, supporters and stakeholders at the PDP State Secretariat in Lokoja shortly after officially resuming office.
He said the strength of the party depends on unity, stressing that internal disagreements and factional disputes would be resolved through dialogue, fairness and inclusiveness.
“My first assignment as Chairman is reconciliation. We must bring everyone back to the table. No one will be left behind because PDP is one family. I appeal to all aggrieved members to sheath their swords and join hands with us to rebuild a stronger, more united party,” he said.
Gambo assured members that under his leadership, the party would strictly adhere to democratic principles and transparency, adding that only collective effort can secure victory in future elections.
He also expressed appreciation to the judiciary for upholding justice, following the Federal High Court judgment that affirmed his position as the duly elected Chairman.
Several party stakeholders who spoke at the event expressed optimism that Gambo’s leadership would reposition the PDP and restore confidence among its supporters.
The event was attended by zonal and local government executives, youth and women groups, and other party faithful who described his emergence as a “new dawn” for the PDP in Kogi State.
