The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, came alive on Thursday night as families, friends, and well-wishers gathered at the prestigious RJEYS Event Centre for a grand pre-wedding ceremony in honour of Miss Rabi’atu Rajab Naibi and Abdulqadir Abdullahi.
The colourful event witnessed an impressive turnout of dignitaries from various walks of life who came to celebrate with the families of Dr. Rajab Naibi, the Dan Maje of Lokoja and Wazirin Hasken Nupe.
Guests were treated to an evening of glamour, cultural display, traditional music, and heartwarming moments as the couple received prayers and blessings ahead of their wedding fatiha.
The ceremony was chaired by Distinguished Senator Tunde Ogbeha, a chieftain of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State, who advised the couple to build their marriage on mutual love, respect, and understanding.
He praised both families for upholding noble values and creating an atmosphere of unity and joy.
“Marriage is a lifelong journey that requires patience, commitment, and mutual respect. I encourage both of you to uphold these virtues and make your union an exemplary one,” Senator Ogbeha said.
Goodwill messages also poured in from friends, associates, and community leaders who described the union as a blessing and a symbol of strengthened family ties.
Representatives of the families expressed appreciation to all guests for honouring the invitation and prayed for a peaceful and successful ceremony.
The night ended with entertainment, photo sessions, and a lavish reception that kept attendees thrilled until late in the evening.
Meanwhile, the wedding fatiha is scheduled to hold at the Sanusi Dantata Memorial Mosque in Abuja immediately after Jummat prayer.
The ceremony is expected to draw an even larger crowd, including prominent Islamic clerics, traditional rulers, politicians, and other dignitaries from across Kogi State and neighbouring regions.
Stakeholders in politics, business, and community leadership are also anticipated to grace the occasion, reflecting the high profile of both families.
