Lokoja 1 Assembly Hopeful, Bala Justice, Visits Fire Victim in Kabawa, Donates Cash

A frontline APC Lokoja I State Constituency hopeful, Adam Bala Justice, on Friday, paid a sympathy visit to Malam Ibrahim Ndagi, a fire victim whose residence was recently destroyed by an inferno at Kabawa Street in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The tragic incident, which occurred on Wednesday, reportedly started in the early hours of the day and left the victim’s household properties and part of the building completely burnt.

Neighbors were said to have battled tirelessly to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses.

During the visit, Bala Justice expressed heartfelt sympathy to Malam Ndagi and his family, describing the situation as “a painful and unfortunate setback that no one should experience.”

He donated cash of N100,000 to help the family begin the process of rebuilding their home and livelihood.

He assured the victim that he would continue to stand with members of his constituency in times of distress, emphasizing that leadership is about “compassion, empathy, and practical support to the people.”

The APC House of Assembly hopeful, who is seeking to represent Lokoja I State Constituency, called on relevant authorities, philanthropists, and community members to always rise in support of people affected by disasters, stressing that unity and mutual help remain the strength of the Lokoja community.

Bala Justice was accompanied by key APC stakeholders, including the Secretary of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Danjuma; APC leader, Hon. Baba Yakamata; and the Ward ‘E’ Councilor, Hon. Aisha Amale.

The team inspected the extent of damage and expressed satisfaction with the quick response of residents and local youth in containing the situation.

They encouraged the victim to remain hopeful, assuring him that better days lie ahead.

Speaking briefly after the visit, Bala Justice reaffirmed his commitment to community service and pledged to continue supporting individuals and families in need across Lokoja.

He further reiterated his determination to pursue policies and initiatives that would promote safety awareness, disaster management, and social welfare if elected into office, noting that “the wellbeing of the people must remain the priority of every leader.”
