As the race for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat gathers momentum, APC stalwart and Lokoja Ward ‘E’ native, Adams Sale Bala, popularly known as Bala Justice, says his decision to contest is born out of a genuine call from his people who yearn for quality representation.
In this exclusive chat with NationalWatch TV, he shares his vision for accessible leadership, youth empowerment, and people-oriented legislation that will transform the constituency.

Good day, sir. Can you please introduce yourself to our audience?
Bala Justice:
Thank you very much. My name is Adams Sale Bala, popularly known as Bala Justice. I am from Lokoja Ward ‘E’ and a proud member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Q: What motivated you to join the race for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat?
A:
Thank you. My motivation to contest for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat came as a result of a collective call from my immediate constituents — my ward and the entire Lokoja I constituency. As a vibrant and committed APC stakeholder in my ward, and having previously served as a Supervisory Councillor in Lokoja Local Government Council, I have become very familiar with the political terrain and challenges of our area.
My people believe that what we currently lack is quality representation. They want a leader who will truly speak for them and project their interests. They called on me to step forward and offer that kind of effective and people-centered representation that will make their voices heard at the State Assembly. That is what inspired me to run for this office.
Q: Why did you choose the APC as your platform?
A:
I chose the APC because of the party’s track record of performance and its commitment to good governance. Our Supreme Leader in Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, during his eight years as governor, brought visible development and dividends of democracy across the state — including Lokoja I constituency.
Under his leadership, many of us became politically active and inspired to serve our people. As a loyal member of this political family, I have contributed my quota to the growth of APC in my ward and beyond. Today, APC is a household name in Lokoja, and I am proud to identify with its progressive ideals.
Q: If elected, what specific goals will you pursue for the people of Lokoja I State Constituency?
A:
My first priority will be to give quality representation. That begins with accessibility. As a legislator, you are the voice of your people — and you must be close enough to hear their concerns and aspirations.
I will ensure that my office remains open and accessible to everyone — men, women, youths, and elders. I will listen to their pains and challenges, and then translate those concerns into legislative action. Through motions, bills, and effective advocacy, I will push for development projects that bring the dividends of democracy to our doorstep.
Q: How will you ensure that your representation truly reflects the will and needs of your people?
A:
I intend to achieve this through people-oriented programs. For instance, if constituency funds are provided, I will channel them into projects that have a direct impact on the people — especially in education, youth empowerment, and social welfare.
Lokoja I has many talented young people — both male and female — who have the zeal to succeed but lack financial support. I will focus on encouraging them to pursue higher education in key fields like medicine, engineering, and other professions that can benefit our society.
One practical way I plan to do this is through educational bursaries for indigent students. When you educate your people, you are lifting them out of poverty. That is the kind of transformation I want to bring.
Q: Beyond politics, what other experiences do you bring to the table?
A:
Apart from politics, I am also a businessman with a strong interest in mining and solid minerals. Before declaring my intention to run for office, I was already fully engaged in mining and entrepreneurship.
This experience has taught me the importance of creating opportunities and adding value to our local economy. If elected, I intend to use my experience and connections in business to attract investment and create job opportunities for our youths. We must make Lokoja I a place where people can live, work, and prosper.
