An elder statesman from Kogi West Senatorial District, Chief Richard Asaje has advised Kogi westerners, especially Okun extraction leaders to continue to support the government of the day, work in synergy with Kogi Central, and should focus on fostering collaboration in areas of shared interest, stating that the two districts are part of “Old Kwarans” , with a history of close relationships that can be leveraged for future cooperation, if Okun wants to become a Governor.
In a statement on Sunday 28/9/2027, Chief Asaje stressed that by working together with the Kogi Central, promoting unity and discouraging a fragmented or individualistic approach to problem solving, a united front is what is needed to achieve our aims, “Okun man to become a Governor”, he said.
According to him, those who are saying that how do we trust the Kogi Central after Governor Ododo’s second term in office to release the baton to Kogi West/Okun extraction may say anything but to some of us who have gotten a strong political relationship with them believe they are “Reliable”, pointing at what they did in 2011, and that was why we compensated them in 2015 , they are reliable, Asaje opined.
Continuing he emphasized on the need to move closer to the “Olushola Saraki” of Kogi Politics, HE Yahaya Bello, if Yahaya Bello is not in the basket, the basket is not full.
We need him, he did it for Ododo and he will do it for us.
If there is any Okun man eyeing the governorship seat come 2027, he should go and buried it, because it is really really anti Okun and we can not do it alone. Going by what happened in 2023 general elections, Kogi East will never support any other tribes, cos some of them believed that they are Born to Rule.,he added.
Speaking further, Asaje enjoined Okun extraction leaders to support Ododo’s 4+4, if actually they are prepared to be governor after Governor Ododo’s tenure of office.FGYB is on ground to do it for us. Yahaya Bello was able to give us University, change the old order of things and make Yagba for Senate Agenda a reality,he will do it again,he exclaimed.
Those that are blackmailing Yahaya Bello are saboteurs, who are only trying to keep him silent.Of course they hate him for no just cause, some even want him died.But God will never allow it.

We are not just calling him a leader,he worked for it.He is the first man to put Kogi in the right track.Yahaya Bello’s influence has shaped the political landscape, promoting unity and set a high standard for future generations.He brought Ododo and Ododo has not disappointed us,he added.
Asaje expressed confidence that re-electing Governor Ododo would further steer Kogi State toward even greater achievements and would enhance Kogi West/Okun extraction a better opportunity to occupy Lugard House come 2031.
Then, our appeal for a power shift to the district reflects the regions historical support for other districts in the past. We should be patience enough to support Ododo’s re-election in 2027 general elections to fight a justifiable cause and end continual marginalization of the Okun people in kogi State.
Chief Asaje therefore called on Kogi westerners to be united and work towards Governor Ododo’s second term bid, noting that it is in the interest of the Constituency to continue to support Governor Ododo in furtherance of the social -economic development of the state.
He further advised Kogi West residents to immediately begin the mobilization of all interest groups in the district on a continuous basis to ensure 99.9% percent guarantee second term for Ododo.
Chief Asaje urged those who are condenming Yahaya Bello, calling him a sorts of names to shun politics of character assassination, and should align with the policy’s and decisions of the “Olushola Sarak of Kogi Politics”. That Yahaya Bello is in charge of kogi politics is not a new thing to some of us.
Tinubu has a track record of influencing of his successors.After leaving the governor’s office,Tinubu became known as a “Kingmaker” who used his influence to place his proteges in various political offices.
At a time in Kwara, Oyo, Edo, Osun to mention few, politicians historical influence has made some “godfather”, with power extending far beyond their tenure as governor.
The likes of devious strategist that caged Yahaya Bello in the first four years of his administration and drove every good adviser’s away from him are only showing the whole world that diabolical methods , malicious tactics he operated to eliminate innocent people in state remain in our memories.
Those who introduced the “Tatatata slogan” lacks the proper training, experience,or understanding to be an effective strategist. He became a self appointed strategist, anyway, dictating every decision to achieve his aims in a nafarious ways.
Yahaya Bello should not reply miscreants as a mature person. To some of us, Yahaya Bello now stands in the lineage of leaders who transform trials into opportunities for growth and service.
Asaje in a statement also called on the anti -GYB destroyers to shun politics of bitterness and steered the state off the path of self -destruction, delusions and deceit.
The spirit that kept us together to contribute heavily to Kogi development must be involved to come back.We don’t have any other escape route than to work in synergy with Kogi Central and give maximum support for Ododo’s re-election in 2027 general elections, Asaje exclaimed.
