The attention of the Association of Igbo Community in Ebira land has been drawn to an online story, announcing the proposed coronation of one Sunday Patrick Muonike as Eze-Ndigbo of Okene.
This is to inform the general public that the association has nothing to do with the dissident Igbo group and the said coronation scheduled for Sunday, 10th August 2025.
The association wishes to inform the public as well that the same dissident Igbos are currently facing criminal charges at the Okene magistrate court for impersonating/misrepresenting the association.
Therefore, the association of Igbo community clearly dissociates itself from the proposed coronation.
As the association is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, any individual or group of people that engages in impersonating the association will face necessary legal action/prosecution.
